About Pynglo

Everything you need to know about the email response dashboard built for professionals who send important emails.

What is Pynglo?

Pynglo is an email response dashboard that connects to your Gmail and shows you the status of every important email you sent. It automatically categorizes your sent emails into four zones: Ghosted (no reply after 5+ days), Waiting (sent recently or opened but no reply), Fresh (sent within the last 24 hours), and Replied (received a response). Instead of scrolling through your sent folder wondering who responded, you get one dashboard that tells you exactly who owes you a reply.

Who is Pynglo for?

Pynglo is built for professionals who send emails that matter and need to know when those emails are being ignored:

  • Freelancers — who send proposals, quotes, and invoices and need to follow up before the project goes to someone else.
  • Sales professionals — who send outreach emails and need to know which prospects are engaging (opening emails multiple times) versus ignoring them.
  • Recruiters — who send placement emails and offer letters and need to track which candidates and clients are responding.
  • Agency owners — who manage multiple client relationships and need to see which clients are going cold before it becomes a problem.
  • Consultants — who send retainer renewals, project updates, and follow-ups and need a system to track responses.

How does Pynglo work?

  1. Connect your Gmail — Sign in with Google OAuth 2.0 (the same secure login used by Slack, Notion, and thousands of other apps). Pynglo reads your sent email metadata — recipient, subject line, timestamp, and a short preview snippet. It never reads your full email body or attachments.
  2. Automatic categorization — Your sent emails are instantly sorted into four status zones: Ghosted, Waiting, Fresh, and Replied. Status updates automatically as time passes and replies come in.
  3. Follow up with one click — When you see a ghosted email, click to open a follow-up dialog with three tone-calibrated templates (gentle, firm, final). Customize the message and send it directly through your Gmail without leaving the dashboard.

Key features

  • Ghost detection — Emails with no reply after 5 days are flagged as ghosted. Pynglo also detects unusual silence based on per-contact response patterns.
  • Verified open tracking — For follow-up emails sent through Pynglo, see verified human opens — we filter out bots, email scanners, and automated prefetchers. High verified opens with no reply indicates a warm lead.
  • One-click follow-ups — Three tone-calibrated templates with variable substitution. Pick a tone, customize, and send without leaving the dashboard.
  • Response analytics — See your reply rate, best send times, most responsive contacts, and ghost rate trends over time.
  • Morning digest — A daily or weekly email summarizing who ghosted, who replied overnight, and exactly who to follow up with today.
  • Keyboard-first — Cmd+K command palette and keyboard shortcuts for everything. Built for people who live in their inbox.

How is Pynglo different from Mailtrack?

Mailtrack is an email open tracker — it tells you when someone opened a specific email. Pynglo is a response dashboard — it shows you the status of every sent email in one view and tells you who needs follow-up. Mailtrack answers "did they open it?" Pynglo answers "who's ghosting me and what should I do about it?" Mailtrack doesn't categorize emails, doesn't detect ghosting patterns, and doesn't provide follow-up templates. Pynglo does all three.

Mailtrack tells you an email was opened. But it can't tell you that Sarah's response time went from 2 hours to 5 days over the past month. That pattern is invisible in your current setup. Pynglo makes it visible.

How is Pynglo different from Streak?

Streak is a full CRM that lives inside Gmail — with pipelines, deal stages, contact management, and team collaboration. Pynglo is not a CRM. It's focused specifically on one thing: showing you which sent emails need attention right now. If you need to manage a sales pipeline with multiple stages and team members, use Streak or HubSpot. If you just need to know who owes you a reply and send a follow-up, Pynglo is simpler and faster to set up (30 seconds vs hours of CRM configuration).

How is Pynglo different from Boomerang?

Boomerang is an email scheduling and reminder tool — it lets you schedule emails to send later and set reminders to follow up. Pynglo doesn't schedule emails. Instead, it passively monitors your sent folder and automatically categorizes every email by response status. Boomerang requires you to set a reminder for each email individually. Pynglo monitors all your sent emails automatically and surfaces the ones that need attention without any manual setup per email.

Security and privacy

Pynglo uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication — the same security standard used by Slack, Notion, HubSpot, and thousands of other apps. Your Gmail password is never shared with Pynglo.

  • What Pynglo accesses: Sent email metadata (recipient, subject, timestamp), a short Gmail-generated preview snippet (~100 characters), and the ability to send follow-ups when you explicitly click send.
  • What Pynglo never accesses: Your full email body, attachments, contacts, calendar, inbox emails from other people, or any non-sent-folder data.
  • Encryption: All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256-GCM for OAuth tokens).
  • Compliance: GDPR compliant, CCPA compliant. You can delete your account and all data at any time.
  • Revoke access: Remove Pynglo's access anytime from your Google Account settings with one click.
